What is NDVI? This NDVI infographic visually illustrates the plant health index and the underlying processes.

In simple terms, NDVI, or normalized difference vegetation index, is a measurement of plant health based on how a plant reflects light at specific frequencies. Healthy plants reflect a large amount of near-infrared (NIR) light, while unhealthy plants absorb more near-infrared light.
