Sentera Announces Oversubscribed 2025 Early Access Program for SMARTSCRIPT™ Weeds

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — April 17, 2025 —
Sentera, a leader in image-based precision agriculture solutions, today announced that its 2025 Early Access Program (EAP) for SMARTSCRIPT™ Weeds is fully enrolled. Fueled by exceptional market interest, the program was oversubscribed by February—prompting Sentera to close the process early.
“Interest in SMARTSCRIPT this season exceeded even our most optimistic expectations,” said Brian Wenngatz, CEO of Sentera. “The level of demand highlights the industry’s strong interest in precision weed control—and their confidence in Sentera’s unique value proposition. We’re working with some of agriculture’s most forward-thinking leaders to demonstrate SMARTSCRIPT’s commercial performance at scale.”
“SMARTSCRIPT fits seamlessly into our existing custom application workflow and enhances the agronomic services we already provide,” said Nick Einck of Chandler COOP. “It gives us the ability to deliver a more precise weed control strategy, which not only improves results in the field but brings more value and confidence to our owners – the growers we serve.”
Expanded Scope, Stronger Network
Building on strong momentum from 2024, the 2025 Early Access Program for SMARTSCRIPT™ Weeds significantly expands both in scale and functionality. This season, SMARTSCRIPT is deployed across the U.S. Corn Belt, working in close collaboration with OEMs, input manufacturers, academics, and farmer cooperators. For the first time, the network also includes a select group of agricultural retailers—broadening access and amplifying the value of prior knowledge in the spray planning process. This diverse coalition represents some of the most innovative operations in agriculture.
Commercial Readiness in Action
The 2025 program is designed to prove the real-world value of SMARTSCRIPT at scale. By delivering precise weed insights before a sprayer ever enters the field, participants are experiencing firsthand how prior knowledge improves decision-making, reduces input waste, and streamlines operations. From application timing to tank planning, growers and
retailers will see how SMARTSCRIPT simplifies complexity and enhances weed control—turning data into actionable results within hours, not days.
SMARTSCRIPT combines high-resolution drone-based weed detection with AI-powered classification and prescription generation to deliver precise, post-emergence herbicide targeting. Within 24 hours of flight, SMARTSCRIPT produces a fully executable spray script that loads directly into the in-cab monitor of any precision sprayer—automatically instructing the machine to spray only where weeds are present. This seamless integration saves up to 70% on herbicide costs without compromising control. Fully compatible with the John Deere Operations Center and all major sprayer platforms, SMARTSCRIPT enables rapid adoption and streamlined field operations with minimal disruption.
Path to 2026: Scaling Through Ag Retail
Sentera will open enrollment for the 2026 season later this year—with ag retail serving as the primary distribution channel. The company is actively engaging with retail partners who are looking to expand their precision service offerings, drive operational efficiency, and deliver differentiated agronomic value to their customers.
Interested ag retailers can visit www.sentera.com/smartscript-weeds/ to learn more about partnership opportunities and request enrollment information for 2026.
“We’re not just building a product—we’re building the future of weed control,” Wenngatz added. “This is about empowering advisors, applicators, and growers with the intelligence they need to act with speed, precision, and confidence.”
